Together with the National Bank of Serbia the NBP is organizing a regional conference about the role of a central bank in the process of European integration. Topics covered include:

• Coordination of accession activities within the central bank,
• The adjustment to banking laws to accord with the EU requirements,
• The adjustment of the monetary policy instruments to the requirements of the EU and fulfilment of the Maastricht criteria,
• The NBP exchange rate policy in the process of Poland's preparation for the membership of the EMU,
• Liberalization and movement of capital,
• The role of the banking supervision in the process of adjustment to the European Union requirements,
• Adjustment of financial services to the European Union requirements.
